What is Double Cleansing?

Double Cleansing is a skincare trend that will leave your eczema prone skin glowing. The process involves cleansing the face and skin not one but twice. First with an oil base cleanser, like our 10 Oil Cleanser, massage the oil into dry skin. This allows the oil to attack the dirt, dead skin and debris on the surface of the skin. For eczema prone skin, this step also softens the skin and makes it a supple landscape for the the next step. After oil cleansing, pat the skin dry but leave it a bit damp. Use a water base cleanser, like our 01 Clear Bar or our 02 Naked Bar, enriched with colloidal oatmeal to lock in moisture. Again pat dry but leave the skin slight damp. Continue with your skincare routine. Follow up with a serum, like our 18 Vitamin C Serum, to restore the skin barrier. Finish with a hydrating moisturizer. Our 21 Lemon Mango Butter or our 22 Naked Mango Butter are great soothing moisturizers after a double cleanse. 

The end result is a smooth glowing sensation on your skin. Double cleansing is an excellent way to counteract dryness and a healthy hydrated glow!
